(Super-geeky, and super-niche, but I find I get a lot of organic search traffic from little tidbits like this, so it must be helping a fair number of people out.)

I ran across one of these today and had to reset it to the default settings in order to get it up and running.

Linksys WAP11 Wireless Access Point 802.11-B Default IP:

Turns out there's no firmware upgrade after v2.05, released in August of 2003, so the only wi-fi security available is 64- and 128-bit encryption using a WEP key. There's MAC address filtering, too, but that doesn't encrypt the data, only providing a perimeter-level screen.

Basically, if you feel like you have any enemies, you should be using a better wireless networking appliance.
