There are other tools for doing this, including full ftp clients, but I've been using this tool for the last three months or so on my win2K development desktop and I really like it. It boots at startup and maps to as many FTP servers as you have drive letters.

It's apparently a product Novell licensed from some smaller software company for bundling (OEM) with NetWare. A comment I read on Engadget indicated that it's a lite version of a product produced by South River Technologies. The thing is all over the place on the web, but seems to typically require a login.

I ran into trouble installing it on my laptop last week, because I couldn't locate an installer download. So, having now procured one after much clicking and under-the-breath expletives, I've posted a copy of the latest version (4.1) at http://fuery.com/download/netdrive.exe . Obviously, I'm not interested in breaking the law here, so if I hear from Novell or South River, I'll be happy to take it down. Since every second university in the country seems to distribute it freely to students, I figure it's ok. :-)

Enjoy.

NetDrive is not a free utility.

It was licensed to Novell for exclusive use within a Netware 6 environment and is not meant for general distribution over the Internet.

Please remove the download from your blog.

Thanks

Wow, that was quick. I posted it, what, 75 minutes ago?

Removing momentarily...

    Hi,
The licensing for this product has still not changed. It's still not legal to distribute NetDrive outside of a licensed NetWare environment.

Please remove the download from your post.

    Thank you.
