This showed up on my gaping void widget yesterday (that's the little rotating cartoon on the right sidebar here at Smart Guy) and it reminded me of blogging. Sometimes it's a pain to write -- to get the creativity flowing, to come up with poignant thoughts or ideas, to simply take the time to do it when you'd rather be calling a pretty girl (or whatever you happen to like, Gaping Void Cartoon - April 10, 2007of course).

Like all things, there are times when even doing what you love seems a chore. That means everything from taking your Significant Other to dinner (sorry, sometimes it is) to going to the gym. But like all tasks that occasionally feel like chores, there are long term benefits. A lifelong mate and partner, perhaps, or bulging biceps and a killer jump shot.

Or twelve bucks a month in AdSense Revenue and the attention of 50 strangers. :-)

I agree with you completely. It's a shame that I got banned from adsense before I even started to make anything.

You keep rocking it.

I feel your pain. I have been working on my site design for two long. Now don't get me wrong, I love what I do and I believe in my goal. But I just wish it was all done and working. It would make my life a lot easier.

I, ahem, might know some "smart guy" who pushed the envelope a little too much on attempting to measure keyword cost to the advertiser from adwords against payouts to publishers via adsense.

Google didn't like that too much.

Sign up again with a different street address, new domain (blogspot is just fine) and a slight misspelling of your name. Worth a shot...
